The five members of the Town Council serve as the legislative and executive body for the Town of Avon. A council president is elected from among their peers and has the power to sign contracts, ordinances and decrees approved by the council. The Council appoints a Town Manager to manage the day to day operation of the Town and the Council President appoints the Police Chief and Assistant Police Chief.
Council members are elected to serve four year terms. Two members are elected at-large (by the entire town) and three members reside in specific districts (District 1, District 2 and District 3) but are elected by the entire town.

- Liaison to Washington Township, Avon Community School Corp, and Indianapolis Airport Authority. Also serves on the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership Board.
Heathermor Neighborhood Resident
Town Council Vice President
-Liaison to Hendricks County government, Avon Redevelopment Commission and Economic Development Commission. Also serves on the Hendricks County Solid Waste District Board.
Stratford of Avon Neighborhood Resident
- Liaison to Parks Department, Arts and Annexation. Also serves on the Citizens Water Advisory Board.
Dave Cox, At Large
Cobblestone Springs Neighborhood Resident
Liaison to: Police Department, Reorganization Study Committee. Serves on Hendricks County Dispatch Governing Board.
Marcus Turner, At Large
Cobblestone Springs Neighborhood Resident
Liaison to: Public Works Department, Planning and Building Department and West Central Conservancy District.
