Town of Avon, Indiana

The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of public streets including paving, patching and snow plowing. The department is also responsible for coordinating road improvements, overseeing infrastructure installation by private developments and maintaining drainage ways.

 

The Public Works Director is Ryan Cannon. Mr. Cannon has been Public Works Director since 1999. Mr. Cannon graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Management. Mr. Cannon has worked for the City of Indianapolis Public Works Department.

 

Mr. Cannon is a member of the American Public Works Association. He has participated in a Regional Infrastructure Task Force to identify necessary improvements in the Indy Region.

 

Mr. Cannon is married with two children. He attends St. Susanna Catholic Church.

 

The Assistant Public Works Director is Sam Paledino.
