100 South/Dan Jones roundabout will be constructed in 2005 and the 100 North/Dan Jones will be built in 2006

INDOT PROJECTS IN THE VICINITY OF AVON

US 36 (Rockville Road)  

1. I-465 to SR 267 Lane Additions (INDOT- Engineering Assessment)
   1. Corridor Planning Study underway. 
   2. INDOT's consultant working on updating the MPO's Travel Demand Model. Avon has provided land use projection input already. 
   3. A meeting will be held to review the revised transportation network in the model, once completed.
   4. Public Hearing for Corridor Study planned in mid 2005. According to Steve Smith (INDOT Long Range Transportation Planning Manager), it is likely that this will be moved later in the future. 
   5. Construction originally planned in 2008 and 2009. This may be delayed pending outcome of planning stage.

SR 267

1. CR 300S Intersection Imp. and Signal Modernization (INDOT)
   1. Design did not start until late 2003
   2. In Grade Review design stage now
   3. Preliminary Field Check meeting will most likely be held Summer or early Fall 2004.
   4. Construction most likely delayed until 2007 - 2008

2. Culvert Replacement at Hidden Valley Estates (1.43 mi. south of US 36) -(Congdon Engineering, Inc.)
   1. Final Tracings submitted           
   2. Letting planned for October 2004
   3. Construction should begin early 2005
   4. Traffic will be maintained via construction of a temporary runaround

3. CR 150S Intersection Improvement and Traffic Signal Modernization  (MD Wessler)
   1. Design on hold due to change of scope (connecting project to CR 100S intersection project).  INDOT and MDW are renegotiating contract. Will likely take most of 2004.
   2. Next step to submit PFC plans. Public Hearing stage likely next year 
   3. Construction most likely won't begin until 2007 the earliest.

4. CR 100S Intersection Improvements and Traffic Signal Modernization - (VS Engineering)
   1. R/W being acquired. 
   2. Town and County contacted to establish a detour route during construction.
   3. School to be contacted by INDOT contract coordinator about timing of CR 100S road closure. Closure supposed to occur during summer school closure.
   4. Construction letting in April, 2005. Construction most likely to begin in mid 2005.

5. New Bridge over railroad - 0.31 mi south of US 36  (Ken Herceg & Assoc.)
   1. Hydraulic Review underway, waiting for comments from INDOT. Grade Review design is next.
   2. Preliminary field check meeting likely in Fall or Winter.
   3. Public Hearing likely in 2005.
   4. Construction planned for 2007 - 2008.

6. CR 100N Intersection Improvements and Traffic Signal Modernization - (MD Wessler) 
   1. Preliminary Field Check held on July 22, 2003.
   2. Project on hold due to change in scope (INDOT revising scoping per Avon's request for additional road widening, median(s), and sidewalks)
   3. Wessler would like to organize a meeting with Avon and INDOT once they are given a notice to proceed. 
   4. Likely will need to resubmit PFC plans. Public hearing in 2005 likely.
   5. Construction likely in 2007 the earliest.
