On Saturday March 17th, the Washington Township/Avon Fire Department held its annual awards banquet at the Prestwick Country Club. This event is a great opportunity for our families to come together and share in our past accomplishments. The following individuals were recognized for their special acheivements:

Firefighter of the Year - Firefighter/EMT Brian Sturm
Chauffer of the Year - Chris Krahn
EMS Provider of the Year - Firefighter/Paramedic Terry Presslor
Officer of the Year - Battalion Chief Todd Fair
Chief's Award - Firefighter/EMT Phil Cope
EMS Run of the Year - Lt./Paramedic Joe East, FF/EMT Rick Finchum, FF/EMT Mike Caldwell, FF/Paramedic Doug Dickerson, FF/EMT Matt Sheets, and FF/EMT Pat Dowty.
Battalion Chief Josh Thompson received the 2006 Training Award of the Year.
 Firefighter Paramedic Terry Presslor was named EMS Provider of the Year.
