During the period of July 1, 2009, to July 31, 2009, Mike Tulli completed a total of 434 inspections, including 64 Building Code citations and 1 Stop Work Order. ITEMS OF NOTE 1. These are some of the continuing construction projects: the new Avon Middle School North, the new River Birch Elementary School, remodeling projects for Maple & White Oak Elementary Schools, the remodel project for the Avon Middle School South, the multi-tenant building at the Southwest corner of Raceway Road and U.S. 36, the new multi-tenant building immediately to the West of Mike's Carwash, a tenant finish for The Vitamin Shoppe in the new multi-tenant building at the Southwest corner of Raceway Road & U.S. 36, tenant finishes for Flagstar Bank & Fiesta Salon at Rockville Pointe, an expansion to the multi-tenant building behind Tasty's on U.S. 36, the Adult Learning Center, Cafeteria, & Gymnasium expansion to Avon High School, The Roomplace Store in Raceway Plaza, the Avon Community Church of God on North Dan Jones Road, Kidz-R-Kidz Daycare in Turner Trace, renovation of the Indiana Department of Child Services' office in Westridge Office Park, one (1) expansion project to Clarian West Hospital, Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on County Road 100 North, the new Fairfield Inn in Eden Gate, a storage addition & interior remodel project of the Wal-Mart Supercenter, and a classroom remodeling project for Crossroads Church. 2. New projects slated to start this and/or next month includes Monster Mini Golf in Harlan Center, Lucas Oil Auto Center at Avon Pointe, Taco Bell renovations in Avon Station, Avon School's Administration Office remodeling, Buffalo Wild Wings in Gables of Avon, and Key Bank by Wal-Mart. 3. The Planning & Building Department continues to monitor 24 vacant homes in all areas of the Town's jurisdiction. Homes and pools are monitored for security and vandalism, and this involves coordination with the Avon Police Department, the Washington Township Avon Fire Department, and the Washington Township Trustee's office. This activity also involves securing fences, pools, unlocked exterior doors and windows, as well as working with mortgage companies to ensure that these sites are secure. 4. The Buildable Lots Spreadsheet, which tracks permit activity for each neighborhood within the corporate limits of the Town of Avon as new Building Permits are issued is include in this report. |
