Town of Avon, Indiana

The Town Council has adopted the 2012 budget.

 

The total property tax cap circuit breaker amount for all funds is $509,000.

 

After the Property Tax Cap Circuit Breaker amount is taken in to account, the General Fund has been reduced by $100,000 for a spendable budget of $3,200,000. The General Fund provides funding for the operation of the Police Department, Town Court, Clerk Treasurer, Town Manager, Planning and Building, a portion of Public Works and Town Council. Two positions have been eliminated in the General Fund. The Police Department utlizes 67% of the General Fund budget.

 

The MVH road maintenance fund has been reduced by $128,000 for new total of $750,000.

 

The total spendable budget for all funds is $8,966,603.
