Town of Avon, Indiana

 

The Government Reorganization Study Committee of Avon and Washington Township met on February 16. The Committee elected Ed Martin as Chair of the Committee and Oran True as Vice Chair and Secretary. The Committee discussed the process to study reorganization and also met with an Indiana University PH.D. student that has offered to help the Committee. The Committee will meet on March 5 at 7 pm at the Washington Township Pavilion Center, 435 Whipple Lane. They have invited representatives from other government reorganization studies to attend the meeting to provide their insight in to the process. The Committee has until December 21 to present a Reorganization Plan to the Washington Township Board and Avon Town Council for their review and consideration.
