Town of Avon, Indiana

The Avon-Washington Government Reorganization Study Commitee met on March 8. Ken Ferstle presented the Committee with a matrix comparing the reorganization plans of Brownsburg, Fishers, Zionsville and Yorktown. Joy Vrabec from the Brownsburg Reorganization Committee and Pete Olson, Yorktown Town Manager answered questions regarding their community's plan of reorganization. Representatives from Crowe Horwath discussed Zionsville's reorganization plan. The Committee established the following sub committees: Governance, Finance, Public Safety, Zoning and Planning, Parks and Infrastructure/Administration. The following Committee members were appointed chairs of subcommittees: Patricia Tutsie: Governance; Ed Boda: Parks; Steve Blacketer: Finance; Zoning and Planning: Matt Bailey; Infrastructure/Administration: Ed Martin; Public Safety: Oran True.

 

The Committee will meet on March 28 at 7 pm at the Washington Township Park Pavilion Center. The regular meetings of the Committee will be on the 4th Wednesdsay of each month at 7 pm at the Pavilion Center.
