The Greater Avon Study Committee met on April 25, 2012. The Committee has been appointed by the Town Council and Township Board to study the consolidation of the Town of Avon and Washington Township. At the meeting, the Committee presented their quarterly report to the Town and Township. The Committee also recommended that Krieg Devault be hired as the legal consultant and HJ Umbaugh be hired as the financial consultant. The Committee received reports from the six subcommittees: finance, governance, infrastructure/administration, parks, public safety and planning. The Committee will meet on May 23 at 7 pm at the Pavilion Center at Washington Township Park. The meetings are open to the public.
