The Avon Town Council consists
of five elected members. Three members are elected by
district and two members are elected "at-large" by the entire
town. The three at-large members are elected two years
prior to a Presidential election year and the elected members
are elected the year prior to a Presidential election year.
All council members serve four
year terms. Other elected officials include the
clerk-treasurer and the Town
Judge who presides over the Avon Town Court.
The Avon Town Council appoints a
Town Manager who oversees the town administrative staff.
Each elected council member also serves as a liaison to one or
more Boards and/or Commissions. |
