Welcome to the Town of Avon, Indiana, a professionally managed community incorporated in 1995. The Town of Avon is located five miles west of Indianapolis in Hendricks County and is ten minutes away from Indianapolis International Airport. Avon was the first Tree City USA Community in Hendricks County and prides itself in the preservation of the natural environment. Avon is the home of four star schools and has a rich musical tradition that includes three national championships and thirteen state championships for the Avon High School Marching Band.

The Avon Town Hall and the Police Department administration building are open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Closed for lunch from 11:30 to 12:30 pm.

Road Closure Update!


County Road 100 South between Dan Jones Road and Ronald Reagan will be closed beginning March 15th 2021 with an anticipated open date of December 1st 2021.  Accommodations will be made for local resident access during this time!

Avon Town Council Adopts 2021 Budget


On October 8th 2020, the Avon Town Council adopted the 2021 budget.  The total budget of $17.8 million dollars across multiple funds was approved unanimously.
