Alarm Permit Process

Residential and Business Alarm Permits 

The Town of Avon requires residences and businesses within the town limits to obtain an alarm permit for any and all alarm systems installed.

  • Residential Alarm Permits - $50.00 each and valid for 2 years.
  • Business Alarm Permits    - $50.00 each and valid for 1 year.

Alarm permits may be obtained at the Avon Town Hall, as no appointment is needed. We will accept your cashier's check, money order or credit/debit card for payment.  We do not accept cash payments.

You may obtain the alarm permit by emailing Deputy Clerk Treasurer Kathy Selch at kselch@avongov.org. You may download the alarm application here and bring the completed application to Avon Town Hall, or mail it along with your payment to:
