Walking/RunningTrails
Avon Town Hall Park features 2 miles of paved trails that take you past the 9-acre lake, 4 acres of native Indiana prairie plantings, and many more beautiful sites! For the safety of trail users, motorized vehicles, except for those used for accessibility purposes are prohibited. Leashed pets are permitted. Pet waste pickup is required, and waste stations are conveniently located along the trails. Click here for a full-color trail map.
The Story Walk is a 0.5 mile trail connecting Avon Town Hall Park to the Avon Public Library. In the spring and summer, the trail features a rotating children’s book provided by the Avon Public Library. It combines a lovely walk with a great read! North Playground
Located off of Ophelia Dr. in the Stratford of Avon neighborhood, the North Playground is designed for children ages 2 to 6 and features toddler swings, slides, and crawling tubes
Rotary Playground
Located next to the shelters and ping pong tables, the Rotary Playground is designed for ages 5-12 and features slides, swings, a slider, and a climbing wall.
Shelter
Accessible from Avon Town Hall, the shelter is divided into the Heron and Fox sides, either of both of which can be rented for your next party! The shelter features restrooms, two grills, two outdoor tennis tables, and close access to the Rotary Playground, Trak 36, and the bocce ball court. Visit the Shelter Rental website or call the Town Hall at 317-272-0948 for rental forms and details.
Outdoor Ping Pong Tables and Bocce Ball Court
The outdoor ping pong tables are located between the shelter and the RC track. Paddles and balls are stored on the west wall of the shelter. Paddles and balls are free to everyone, but please return when you are done so everyone can use them.
The bocce ball court is located along the path connecting Town Hall Park to the Kroger shopping area. You can find the trailhead along the east side of the shelter parking lot. At this time, balls are not provided.
Fishing
Avon Town Hall Park features 3 fishing areas: the 9-acre Town Hall Park Lake, a small pond immediately to the East of the lake, and the 3-acre Sycamore Lake (off of Loretta Court). For a full-color map, click here.
Avon Town Hall Lakes are catch and release only and require a state fishing license. No nets are allowed.
NOTE: Swimming, wading, ice fishing, and ice skating are not allowed on any of the Town lakes or ponds
